Council of the Federation Literacy Award

As a way to promote literacy at the provincial and territorial level and raise its profile across Canada, Provincial Premiers created a Council of the Federation (COF) Literacy Award medallion. This award recognizes outstanding achievement, innovative practice and excellence in literacy. Thirteen Council of the Federation Literacy Award medallions are presented annually, one for each province and territory.

This year, the award will go to an individual in B.C. who has had a significant impact, locally or provincially, in improving literacy for British Columbians.
The 2014 call for nominations is now underway. Please fill in the application form (DOCX) and submit to Michele.Irvine@gov.bc.ca by May 31, 2014.

For more information about the award, or to share information about the award with your literacy colleagues, please visit http://www.bced.gov.bc.ca/pls/aboutliteracy.htm or the Council of the Federation website.

Please note that nominations close on May 31, 2014.
